Basic RP terminology
Here are most common RP terms that can be found within my rules.

Muse - The roleplayable character.
Mun - The roleplayer behind the character.IC - In character. In other words, when the roleplayable character is speaking.
OOC - Out of character. In other words, when the mun is speaking.AU - Alternative universe. A world that strays from the main universe.
Crossover - A mixture of two or more different medias.
Godmodding - A character being god-like untouchable being, or when a mun takes control over other mun's muse.
Magic anon - Sending an anonymous ask to a blog with an effect that will last for a certain time.
Mutual - When two blogs are following each other.
NSFW - Not safe for work. Material that's not suitable for public viewing, e.g. pornography.
OC - Original character. This can be either fully original character or a fan-character based on a pre-existing media.
Self-insert - A muse whose appearance, personality and/or story is a close or exact reflection of the mun.
Selective - Ranging from non-selective to highly selective, this describes how picky the mun is about who they will roleplay with.
Shipping - Writing muses in a relationship.
Thread - A series of posts made by two or more muns to tell a collaborative story (in other words, roleplay). Trimming a thread means removing past posts, leaving only the most recent posts from participating muns visible.
